macramethread.com is the catalogue and online shop of Saras Udyog, Jaipur. It has no customer accounts or logins. This page explains what the site collects, why, and who else sees it.
What we receive directly
- Quote messages: if you email or WhatsApp us, we receive whatever you send (name, company, requirements). We use it to answer you and prepare quotes, and we don't sell or share it.
- Enquiry forms: when you press Send on our enquiry or quote form, the details you typed are also sent to us through this website and stored so we can reply to you.
- Orders: at checkout you give your name, mobile number, delivery address and PIN code, and optionally your email and GSTIN. We use them to take the payment, issue the GST invoice, dispatch the order and contact you about it. They are kept in our order and invoice records.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security and uptime. These are retained per the host's policy and not used for marketing.
Payments
Online payments are processed by Razorpay. You enter your payment details in Razorpay's payment window, not on our pages, and we never see or store them. We receive the payment status, the payment ID and the order details. Razorpay's own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
Who else sees your details
- Razorpay receives your order details, name and contact details to process the payment.
- The courier receives your name, delivery address and mobile number to deliver the parcel.
- Tax authorities, where GST law requires invoice records.
We do not sell your details.
Analytics we run
- Google Analytics 4: counts visits and pages viewed so we know which products people look at. It sets cookies (
_ga,_ga_*). Data is aggregated and we do not sell it. - Google Ads tag (AW-18469736075): records that an order followed a click on one of our Google ads (order reference and amount) and sets Google’s advertising cookies on every page, which Google may also use to show our ads to earlier visitors. On the order confirmation page the name, phone number and address you typed at checkout (and your email, if given) are hashed in your browser and sent to Google only to match the order to an ad click (Google’s enhanced conversions) — for visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland only after “Accept all”. Opt out at adssettings.google.com or by blocking cookies for this site.
- Meta Pixel: measures visits, product views, cart additions, checkout starts, confirmed purchases and received quote requests for our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta receives page and browser information, product IDs and order values, and may use advertising cookies such as
_fbpand_fbc. This integration does not send your contact form fields or checkout contact details to Meta. For EU/EEA, UK and Swiss visitors it loads only after “Accept all”; choosing “Only necessary” stops Meta tracking. See Meta’s privacy policy. - Reddit Pixel: after your marketing consent, measures page visits, product views, cart additions, checkout starts, confirmed paid purchases and received quote requests for Reddit advertising. Reddit may receive page and browser information, product IDs, order values and conversion identifiers, and use advertising cookies. Our event payloads do not include contact-form or checkout contact details. Choosing “Only necessary” stops further events from this integration. See Reddit’s privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity: records anonymised sessions (clicks, scrolls) and heatmaps so we can fix confusing pages. It sets cookies (
_clck,_clsk).
Blocking cookies for this site in your browser, or choosing “Only necessary” in the cookie settings, stops these cookies. To stop the measurement pings as well, use a content blocker; for Google Analytics alone you can also install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works fully without cookies.
Stored in your browser
Your cart and the delivery details you typed at checkout are saved only in your own browser (localStorage), so they are filled in next time. The site also stores your cookie choice there, and your country code, which it uses for up to 7 days to decide whether to show the cookie bar. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires. Enquiry messages are kept while they are useful for answering you and your later orders.
Your rights
Write to sales@macramethread.com to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, apart from invoice records we must keep by law. Visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked first: Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity set their cookies only after you choose “Accept all”. Until then Google and Microsoft Clarity receive only anonymous, cookie-less measurement. You can change your choice at any time: cookie settings.
