Email sales@macramethread.com and you'll hear back within one working day. To get a usable price in the first reply (instead of three rounds of questions), include:
- Product + spec — e.g. "3-ply twisted cotton macrame cord, 4mm, natural"
- Quantity — metres, kg, pieces or pairs per SKU (minimum 1,000 metres by length, or 5,000 pieces or pairs for finished goods)
- Destination — country and city, or port for sea freight
- Timeline — when you need it landed
Photos of a reference product work too. We match constructions from a sample all the time.
What happens after you write
- Quote — a price per metre, kilo, piece or pair against your spec, with the put-up and packing we would ship it on. If your spec is ambiguous we quote the nearest standard construction and say so, rather than guessing silently.
- Sample — a physical cutting of the exact construction and colour, made and couriered for a ₹3,800 + GST sampling charge before any bulk order. Nothing goes into bulk production until you have approved that sample in your hand; the colour and the hand of the cord are fixed at approval, and a screen is not a reliable way to judge either.
- Bulk — production against the approved sample, then export documents prepared here in Jaipur.
Matching a product you already buy
Send a photograph with something for scale next to it — a coin or a ruler — and, if you have one, a short length in the post. From a physical cutting we can read the fibre, the number of plies or carriers, the twist direction and the finished diameter, which is far more reliable than a written description. Tell us what you dislike about the current supply as well: too stiff, sheds fibre, colour drifts between lots. Those are the things worth fixing in the first sample rather than the third.
Air or sea
Orders at or near the minimum normally go by courier. Volume orders go by sea, and the maths changes with cord diameter — the same weight of 2 mm cord and 12 mm rope occupy very different volumes, so freight per kilo is not a constant. Give us the destination port or city and we will put both options in the same quote instead of leaving you to work it out.
