Saras Udyog is a family-run cordage factory and exporter in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. I'm Rachit Pareek — second generation. My family has been in textile cords since 1991, and I grew up around twisting machines the way other kids grew up around cricket bats.

What we actually make
Macrame cord, jute rope and twine, paracord, bungee cord, elastic (woven, knitted, braided, fold-over), bias tape, satin and velvet ribbon, velcro tape, embroidery thread, lace, candle wick, curtain tie-backs, t-shirt yarn and shoelaces. Six product categories on this site, all cord-adjacent. If it's long, flexible and made of fibre, there's a decent chance it comes off one of our machines.
Among textile exporters in Jaipur our lane is narrow: cords, ropes, tapes, ribbons and trims, not fabric or garments. For home furnishing buyers the range includes curtain tie-backs, tassels, rope baskets and rope table mats. Individual designs, each with photos and a code, are in the catalogue.

Where we ship
60+ countries so far. Air courier reaches the US, Europe, Turkey and the Middle East in 7-14 days; sea freight runs 25-40 days. We ship worldwide. Orders placed on macramethread.com are shipped to 90 countries with the shipping charge shown at checkout, priced by destination zone and maximum packed weight and refunded down to the courier's actual charge after weighing; export consignments larger than the online checkout allows are quoted ex-works Jaipur with air and sea options. Buyers outside India pay at checkout by international card through Razorpay, or by bank transfer against a proforma invoice; PayPal remains available for orders placed by email or WhatsApp. Delivery anywhere in India is included in the price. Minimums are production-run scale, not sample scale. Anything sold by length — cord, rope, tape, ribbon — starts at 2,000 metres per SKU. Finished goods such as shoelaces and curtain tie-backs are sold by the piece or the pair, from 5,000 up.
