What is fold over elastic and where is it used?
Fold over elastic is a knitted nylon-spandex elastic with a permanent centre crease, made to fold over a raw fabric edge and bind it in a single pass. The shiny face gives a satin look; the matte face takes prints well and sits flatter against skin.

Why does the fold line matter more than price?
Because your operator sews at speed, and the crease is her guide. If the fold line drifts off-centre along the roll, one edge of the binding comes out wider than the other and the garment looks homemade. Honestly, I'd tell any buyer comparing two FOE quotes to ignore the per-meter price first and check crease consistency across a full roll instead (most buyers check width and shade, never the crease). Cheap FOE folds crooked.
We check the crease along the length before rolls leave our factory — not just at the roll head. An uneven crease means rejected binding, rethreading, lost floor time. It shows.

Three widths cover almost every use. 15mm for baby wear and light lingerie. 20mm as the general workhorse. 25mm for waistbands and headbands. Matte and shiny face come off the same construction, so you can run mixed orders without changing your sewing setup.
Prints go on the matte face. And since we dye in-house, shade matching across repeat orders is our problem, not yours — send a target shade or a physical cutting and we'll match it, then hold the recipe for your reorders.
