A curtain tie back is a decorative rope or tassel cord that holds a drawn curtain in place against the wall. We make both main styles in-house at our Jaipur factory — twisted rope tie backs and tassel tie backs — in natural undyed cotton and jute or in dyed spun polyester, with dyeing and cord tipping done on our own machines.

Two families cover most of the market:
Twisted rope tie backs - 3-strand rope with looped or tipped ends. Clean, heavy, sits well on thick drapes.
Tassel tie backs - a rope loop with a hanging tassel.
Fibre follows the shade. Natural and undyed pieces are cotton or jute; dyed shades run in spun polyester finished to look and feel like cotton, and at bulk volumes we make other fibres to your specification. Because dyeing happens in-house, colour is wide open - match a swatch, run natural undyed jute, or build a full colour story for a retail range. We supply retail-ready pairs, banded or bagged, or loose bulk for brands doing their own packaging.

Our MOQ is 5,000 pieces per design, style or colour - the minimum is counted separately against each design, each style and each colour, so every variant on the order needs its own 5,000 pieces. That is a production run rather than a trial quantity, so it suits a committed retail programme rather than a first look at a shade. You can still spread one order across materials and colours to test a range, provided each of them clears 5,000 pieces on its own. Air shipments reach the US, EU, and Middle East in 7-10 days, and sea freight runs 25-40 days.

How do you use curtain tie backs?
Draw the curtain open, gather the panel loosely in one hand, then wrap the tie back around the bundle and hook both ends onto a small hook fixed to the wall or window frame behind the curtain. The rope carries the weight of the gathered fabric, so the panel keeps a soft curve instead of hanging flat against the wall. Where should curtain tie backs be placed on the wall?
Fix the hook below the middle of the window, around sill height, and set it out towards the side so the pulled-back curtain clears the glass and lets light through. Hold the gathered curtain by hand first and move it up and down until the fold above the tie back looks right, then mark that spot before drilling. On a pair, measure both sides from the floor rather than from the window, so the two panels sit level even if the frame is not true. Floor-length curtains usually look better with the hook set lower than sill-length or café curtains.
How long should a curtain tie back be?
Gather the curtain the way you want it to hang, run a tape or a piece of string around the bundle, then add enough to reach back to the hook — that measurement is the length you need. Thick or lined curtains bunch into a far fatter bundle than a light voile, so the same window can need very different lengths depending on the fabric. Tassel tie backs pair a rope loop with a hanging tassel and read better on lighter curtains, where the tassel drops down the front of the panel instead of disappearing into the folds. We make both styles in-house, so a range can carry rope tie backs for the heavy line and tassel styles for the sheers in the same dyed colour.
Can you use curtain tie backs without a hook on the wall?
For lighter curtains, yes — the rope can be tied in a loose knot or wrapped as a simple loop around the gathered panel, so nothing is drilled into the wall. A heavy lined drape will slowly work that knot loose and slide down the panel, so a fixed hook is the better answer for anything with real weight in it. Looped ends are made to sit over a hook, while tipped ends are easier to knot around the curtain, so tell us which finish you want when you order.
