A candle brand's supplier list is usually a chemicals company for wax and fragrance, and then a scatter of traders for everything textile. The scatter is the avoidable part. Here is what one floor covers, and the calendar that decides whether your Diwali line ships calm or panicked.
The textile side of a candle
| Supply | What it does | Where to see it |
|---|---|---|
| Cotton wick | The burn itself — flat braid for containers, square for beeswax and hot throws, round for pillars, twisted for diyas and votives; unwaxed, on rolls wound to your line's length | Candle wick · wick guide |
| Packaging ribbon | Box ties and jar collars — satin for gloss, grosgrain for structure, velvet for the premium winter line | Ribbon comparison · satin |
| Drawstring bags | Gift pouches sized to your jars, fully made in-house — fabric, stitching and cord | Drawstring bags |
| Bakers twine | Tags, care cards and rustic gift ties | Bakers twine |
| Jute & cotton cord | Rustic jar wraps and hamper handles | Jute rope · cotton rope |
The wick decision, honestly
Wick construction is the one supply that can sink the product. The four constructions behave differently in the flame — the full logic is in our candle wick guide, including why there is no universal size chart and how professional makers size by test burn. What a factory owes you is consistency: the same construction and ply, roll after roll, so a size you validated once stays validated. That consistency is what our candle-maker buyers actually reorder for.
The Diwali calendar
Diwali 2026: 8 November. Work backwards: retail wants stock by late October, which means pouring through September-October, which means wick and packaging in hand by mid-September. Add production time on our side for custom put-ups or dyed-to-shade packaging, and the comfortable enquiry window is August — now. Domestic dispatch is 2-5 days from Jaipur; the risk is never the courier, it is the queue in front of your order.
Gifting packaging peaks harder than the candle itself at Diwali — pouches, ribbon and twine sell into hampers beyond your own line — so brands that stock packaging generously in September rarely regret it.
One enquiry, priced together
List the wick construction and ply, the metreage, and whatever packaging your line uses — shades matched in our own dye house so the ribbon and pouch agree with your brand palette. The whole basket is quoted within one working day: WhatsApp +91 90794 16666, or start at the candle wick page.
Frequently asked questions
What supplies does a candle making business need in bulk?
Beyond wax, fragrance and vessels: wick in the construction matched to the wax (the biggest technical decision), packaging ribbon, gift pouches, and tag twine. The textile half of that list runs on one floor at our factory — wick at 1,000 m per SKU, bags at 5,000 pieces — which collapses several trader relationships into one quote.
When should candle brands order supplies for Diwali?
Diwali 2026 falls on 8 November. Retail stocking happens by late October, pouring through September-October, so wick and packaging should be in hand by mid-September — which makes August the comfortable enquiry month. Dispatch from Jaipur is 2-5 days domestic; the real deadline is production queues, not couriers.
Do you supply waxed or unwaxed candle wick?
Unwaxed, on rolls or spools wound to the length your waxing line runs — brands and converters do the waxing, tabbing and cutting to their own wax system. All four constructions (flat, square, round braid and twisted) are braided in-house, and dyed wick runs to order at bulk with the fibre stated on the quote.
Can packaging ribbon and pouches match our brand colour?
Yes — ribbon, drawstring-bag cord and fabric shades are dyed in our own house against your swatch or reference, so the ribbon on the box and the pouch in the hamper sit in the same palette. Each material carries its own SKU minimum, and one enquiry prices the set together.
