We manufacture flat, round and oval woven shoelaces at our Jaipur factory, in custom lengths from 45 to 200 cm (approx. 18 to 79 in), with aglets tipped on our own in-house machines. Natural undyed laces are cotton; every dyed shade is spun polyester finished to look and feel like cotton. MOQ is 5,000 pairs per design, style or colour, we export to 60+ countries, and every quote is answered within one working day.

Flat, round and oval shoelaces — types and sizes you can order
We produce all three constructions:
Flat shoelaces — sneakers, school shoes, canvas footwear; widths from 5 to 15 mm (approx. 3/16 to 5/8 in)
Round shoelaces — dress shoes, boots, hiking footwear; 2 to 8 mm diameter (3 mm = 1/8 in, 6 mm = 1/4 in, 8 mm = 5/16 in)
Oval shoelaces — athletic shoes, where flat slips through eyelets and round unties; the sports favourite
Standard lengths run 45, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 200 cm (approx. 18, 24, 35, 47, 59 and 79 in), but length is truly custom — we cut from continuous braid, so 73 cm costs the same as 90 cm. Natural and undyed laces are cotton, including waxed cotton for heritage and dress styles. Every dyed shade is spun polyester, finished to look and feel like cotton; it holds colour and takes daily abrasion at the eyelet. At bulk volumes other fibres can be made to your specification. Shade matching happens in our own dye house, against your Pantone reference or a physical swatch.
Bulk shoelaces — lace consumed per 5,000-pair run
MOQ is 5,000 pairs per design, style or colour. A pair takes twice the lace length, so a 5,000-pair run uses:
45 cm (approx. 18 in) — about 4,500 m of lace
60 cm (approx. 24 in) — about 6,000 m
90 cm (approx. 35 in) — about 9,000 m
120 cm (approx. 47 in) — about 12,000 m
150 cm (approx. 59 in) — about 15,000 m
200 cm (approx. 79 in) — about 20,000 m
Laces ship tipped, paired and polybagged, in bulk cartons or retail-ready packs. The minimum is counted separately against each design, each style and each colour, so a shipment can cover several colours and constructions only if each of them reaches 5,000 pairs on its own — three colours means 15,000 pairs, not 5,000 split three ways.

What is the minimum order for bulk shoelaces?
Our MOQ is 5,000 pairs per design, style or colour, at any length from 45 to 200 cm. The minimum is counted separately against each variant, so a shipment covering three colours needs 5,000 pairs of each — 15,000 pairs in total, not 5,000 split between them. That is a production run rather than a trial quantity, so it suits a committed programme rather than a first look at a shade.
What do shoelaces cost per pair wholesale?
₹150 per pair ex-works Jaipur at the 5,000-pair minimum, tipped and paired. Waxed finishes, printed patterns, boot lengths and metal aglets quote above the base; the exact figure lands with your spec within one working day.
Can you make custom shoelaces in non-standard lengths?
Yes — any length from 45 to 200 cm, cut to the centimetre. We braid continuous cord and cut to order, so non-standard lengths carry no surcharge. If you're unsure, tell us the shoe's eyelet count and we'll recommend a length.
Do you tip shoelaces in-house or outsource the aglets?
We tip every lace in-house on our own cord-tipping machines in Jaipur. That means we control crimp pressure, tip length and pull strength on every batch. Nothing leaves the factory with an unchecked tip.
How long does shipping take from India?
Air courier takes 7-10 days to the US, EU and Middle East, and 10-14 days to most other markets. Sea freight runs 25-40 days and suits full-carton programmes. We quote both options with every enquiry.

Flat vs round laces — which should I choose?
Flat laces lie wide against the upper and hold tension evenly across a criss-cross, which is why they suit sneakers, school shoes and canvas footwear; we braid them from 5 to 15 mm wide. Round laces are the traditional choice for dress shoes, boots and hiking footwear, where the eyelet is small and the lace has to run through several turns; ours are 2 to 8 mm in diameter. The trade-off shows up in sport — flat can slip through a wide eyelet while round works loose, so oval sits between the two and is the usual pick for athletic shoes. Choose the width against your eyelet first, then the length, which we cut to order from 45 to 200 cm.
What are the parts of a shoelace called?
There are two parts worth naming: the body, which is the braid itself, and the aglet, the stiffened tip at each end that stops the braid fraying and lets it pass through the eyelet. Aglets are made in more than one way — ours are either acetate film, heat-shrunk with a single spiral seam and no adhesive, or metal, and both are tipped on our own machines in Jaipur. Tip length is part of the specification rather than an afterthought: the 8 mm flat lace shown on this page carries a 15 mm acetate tip. On the shoe side, the holes the lace passes through are the eyelets, and their size is what limits the lace width you can use.
Poly vs nylon laces for boots — what is the difference?
As fibres, nylon is stronger and stretchier for its weight and takes up more moisture, so it can stay damp longer in wet conditions; polyester stretches less and holds colour better, so knot tension and shade stay more predictable through hard wear. For boots we braid round laces from 2 to 8 mm in diameter: undyed laces are cotton, including waxed cotton for heritage and dress styles, and every dyed shade is spun polyester finished to look and feel like cotton, which holds colour and takes the daily abrasion at the eyelet. What is a shoelace knot called?
The standard bow is a reef knot, also called a square knot — a half knot, then a second half knot worked in the opposite direction, with a loop in each hand. Tie that second half in the same direction and you get a granny knot instead, which sits crooked across the shoe and shakes loose far quicker; that is usually why laces keep coming undone, not the lace itself. Weave plays a part too — flat and oval crossings hold tension through a run, which is why both are the sports favourites, while round laces are the ones most prone to working loose.
