Ordering Against a Festival Deadline
Raksha Bandhan does not move for anyone's production schedule, so the calendar works backwards from the festival.
Rakhi makers order thread months ahead — many build stock well before the festival, so their own making season can run before the dispatch rush.
Kalava wholesalers reorder year-round, because mauli sells at every pooja, wedding and griha-pravesh — the festival is a spike on top of steady trade, not the whole market.
